Important SpiceProp Updates Coming December 9, 2024
Dynamic Leverage Replaces the 20% Gambling Rule
The 20% rule, which was previously in place to discourage high-risk trades, will be removed. In its place, we are introducing dynamic leverage. This new system offers more flexibility by adjusting leverage based on the asset class. Each trading symbol will have its own leverage settings, allowing traders to make more informed decisions without being limited by the old 20% rule.
After the SpiceProp survey, we found that our traders are not entirely satisfied with the 20% rule. As a result, we decided to implement a tool that will help them manage their risk without the need to calculate each position in detail.
Increased Margin Requirements
To better align with current market conditions, SpiceProp will increase the margin requirements for traders. This adjustment ensures that the margin needed to maintain positions will increase in proportion to the net exposure for each instrument. This change is part of our ongoing effort to balance risk management and ensure a stable trading environment.
Levels of leverage

500,000 | 1,00% | 1:100 | 5,000 |

Adjusted Maximum Drawdown Levels
- For the Chilli Pepper Challenge, the maximum daily drawdown will be reduced to 4%, though the overall drawdown limit will remain unchanged at 11%. Kindly note that existing accounts will remain unaffected.
- For all Simulated Funded accounts, the maximum daily drawdown will be reduced to 4.5%. The overall drawdown limit will stay the same. Please note that these new daily drawdown levels will apply only to accounts that are simulated funded on or after December 9, 2024. Kindly note that existing accounts will remain unaffected.
New Withdrawal Limits for Simulated Funded Accounts
Starting December 9, 2024, SpiceProp will implement a withdrawal limit for simulated funded accounts.
- The maximum withdrawal for accounts with balances exceeding 150,000 will be 5% of the balance.
- For accounts with balances under 150,000, the maximum withdrawal will be limited to 5,000.
These restrictions will apply only to the first two withdrawals. Starting from the third withdrawal, there will be no withdrawal limit. This rule helps us to maintain liquidity.
We believe these changes will enhance the SpiceProp trading environment by offering greater flexibility and better risk management for all traders. We encourage you to review these updates and adjust your strategies accordingly.
