Important changes to the funded account contract from 1 and 8 September 2025

From 1 and 8 September 2025, several important updates will take effect for funded accounts.

Changes for New Funded Accounts from 1 September 2025

“4 Profitable Days” Rule

The minimum number of profitable days required on new funded accounts will increase from zero to four. A withdrawal request can only be submitted once the account has achieved four profitable trading days in total. These days do not need to be consecutive — any four profitable days within the trading period will qualify the account for withdrawals.

Small Consistency Rule

No single transaction may account for more than 30% of the total profit on the account. For example, if transactions are placed across EUR/USD, WTI, BTC/USD, XAU and the S&P 500, but profit from EUR/USD alone makes up 31% of total profit, the rule is breached.

This is a soft rule. There is no direct penalty; however, until the account meets the consistency requirement, payments and withdrawals from SpiceProp will remain restricted.

By meeting this rule, you retain full access to all payment and withdrawal options available at SpiceProp.

Copying Rule

Copying transactions between two or more funded accounts, regardless of ownership, is strictly prohibited.

However, it is permitted to copy transactions from a funded account to a challenge account, provided:

  • the funded account is the master (signal provider), and
  • copying is not used for locking or hedging.

Trading Strategies Rule

Each funded account owned by the same trader must use a distinct trading strategy.

Hedging Rule

Hedging is not allowed:

  • when trading during major news events, or
  • when using correlated instruments.

High-Risk Strategy Limitation

The use of so-called Martingale strategies is prohibited. This includes systematically increasing position size after either a loss or a profit. This restriction applies to both individual trades and series of trades (such as news trading). Such methods are regarded as uncontrolled and excessively high-risk.

2% Risk Rule

The risk on any single transaction must not exceed 2% of the account balance. If multiple positions are opened on the same instrument, they are counted together as one trade. Following this rule ensures disciplined risk management and allows you to continue trading without restrictions. Exceeding this limit is a violation of the trading rules and may result in the account being terminated.

Surveys for Funded Traders

Starting from 1 September 2025, all traders who qualify for a funded account will be required to complete a short mandatory survey.

The purpose of the survey is to help us better understand your trading style and evaluate your potential as a trader. The survey will be sent automatically once your account is switched to funded status and must be completed in full.

Changes for All Accounts from 8 September 2025

VPS Services

From 8 September 2025, VPS services will be available to all traders. As a result, the current IP rules will be updated to include specific exceptions.

SpiceProp has partnered with a VPS service provider to ensure full compliance with our trading rules. Traders who use our partner’s VPS will not encounter any IP conflicts.
