Andrian Braga: Gaining Valuable Experience at SpiceProp
Share your impressions of SpiceProp.
SpiceProp offers excellent conditions for traders, continuous support, and a reliable platform. At SpiceProp, I gained additional professional experience that will help me reach my financial goals.
What helped you the most during the challenges at SpiceProp?
I believe three things were key to my success:
discipline,
sticking to my trading strategy,
and the support from the SpiceProp team.
One of the support managers advised me to always follow the risk management rules and stay true to my trading strategy. I made sure to follow this advice, which required patience and persistence.
How long have you been trading on the financial markets?
I’m still in the early stages. I made my first trades in 2024, and I feel lucky that my introduction to the financial market came largely through SpiceProp.
During the challenges, I gained experience and valuable knowledge. What made it especially beneficial was that I didn’t risk my own capital, as I traded on simulation accounts with SpiceProp, and my expenses were limited to purchasing the challenges.
At what point did you realize you had reached a higher professional level?
I’d like to emphasize that, as a beginner, I found myself in a unique situation. With relatively little money, I bought the challenges from SpiceProp to learn how to trade on the financial market. I consider this an effective form of training.
While I had some knowledge of trading and investing, I lacked practical experience. It was during the Chilli Pepper 100K and Sweet Pepper 100K challenges that I really learned how to manage my emotions while trading and make decisions based on analysis rather than impulse.
What is your trading plan?
My plan is based on a well-defined strategy, strong risk management, and the active use of technical and fundamental analysis. I also have a set of rules that I strictly follow during trading.
What qualities, in your opinion, indicate a high professional level of a trader?
A trader who has achieved success and reached a new level is, in my opinion, disciplined, avoids making emotional trading decisions, and is always ready to learn from their mistakes (acknowledging them and drawing the right conclusions). Furthermore, experienced traders tend to focus not just on specific results, but on the overall efficiency of the trading process.
What would you recommend to members of our trading community as motivating or educational material?
I would recommend reading Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas. It’s a useful and engaging book. I would also suggest visiting Investopedia and reading selected articles on trading, investments, financial markets, and economics.
Should we learn from our own experiences or from others?
Both are important. Our own experiences teach us practical lessons, while learning from others helps us avoid mistakes they’ve already made.
