How investment losses help build a success

Today we publish interview with Anna Ricardo-Warszawa, Regional Brand Ambassador Europe.

How Did You Become a Trader?

- I admit, it wasn't easy at first. There were many new concepts and skills that I had to acquire in a short time, which was quite challenging. I devoted a lot of time to learning through courses, books, and market analysis. Over time, I developed my skills by investing my own funds and learning from both mistakes and successes.

What Makes You Get Up Every Day and Work as a Trader?

- Trading is a passionate occupation for me, presenting new challenges every day. It's a dynamic environment where I constantly need to stay updated with information and analyses. The adrenaline associated with decision-making and the possibility of achieving financial success are the main motivators that drive me to action.

What Was Your First Experience with Financial Markets?

- My first experience in the financial markets occurred when I invested a small amount in stocks. I was excited and at the same time nervous, watching the value of my investment fluctuate. This taught me patience and the importance of making decisions based on thorough analysis rather than emotions.

Do You Have Personal Goals in Trading?

- My personal goal is to retire in ten years with a solid financial foundation. Additionally, I would like to teach my children the principles and strategies of trading in the future, passing on the knowledge and experience I've gained so they can successfully navigate the financial markets.

What Trading Mistake Gave You the Most Valuable Experience?

- The most valuable experience for me was incurring a significant loss due to an overly emotional approach to investing. This event taught me the importance of sticking to a strategy and not giving in to impulses. I understood that discipline and emotional control are crucial to achieving success in the financial markets.

Are There Differences in Trading Styles Between Women and Men?

- Generally, it can't be definitively stated that trading styles differ based on gender, as each trader is an individual. However, it is often said that women may be more cautious and inclined to perform thorough analyses before making investment decisions. Men, on the other hand, might be more willing to take risks. Ultimately, success in trading depends on skills, knowledge, and experience, not gender.

You've Worked with Clients Worldwide. Are There Differences Between Clients from Poland and, for Example, Latin America?

- Yes, I have noticed some differences. Clients from Poland often have a more conservative approach to investments and are more likely to analyze risk. Clients from Latin America may be more open to taking risks and often show a greater willingness to invest in new technologies and markets. Each market has its unique characteristics and needs, requiring flexibility in the approach to clients.

Trading vs. Prop Trading – What Are the 3 Main Differences?

- Capital: In individual trading, we invest our own funds, whereas in prop trading, we trade with the company’s capital.

Risk: In prop trading, risk is usually more distributed as the firm monitors and manages the risk of its traders. In individual trading, the trader bears all the risk.

Training and Support: Prop trading firms often offer intensive training and support, which is less common for individual traders who must acquire knowledge and experience on their own.

How Important Is It for a Trader to Be Part of a Community?

- Being part of a trading community is very important. It provides opportunities to share experiences, gain new perspectives, and receive support during difficult times. The community can also be a source of inspiration and motivation to continually improve one’s skills.

Why Work at SpiceProp?

- I work at SpiceProp because I love trading, and here I can develop this passion. The company provides me with access to great tools and supports my growth. I work with inspiring people from whom I learn a lot, and the atmosphere is truly motivating. This allows me to constantly improve my skills and enjoy what I do every day.
