What is prop trading?

Prop trading (proprietary trading) is a model of collaboration between a trader (participant) and a prop trading company, in which the trader (participant) uses the company’s capital to trade on financial markets. The prop trading collaboration program excludes the use of the trader’s (participant’s) own funds.
