Diego Ramirez on SpiceProp’s Win-Win Philosophy

Since May 2024, ORDFX CEO Diego Ramirez has taken on the role of World Brand Ambassador for SpiceProp in Mexico. With a decade of experience in forex trading, Diego has trained investors at various levels—basic, intermediate, and advanced. In this interview, Diego shares insights on the most dangerous myths about trading, essential questions traders should ask themselves, and whether it's ever worth discouraging someone from entering the world of trading.

How long have you been in trading? Do you feel tired or burned out?

I've been trading for around 10 years, experiencing both successes and failures along the way. Every day, I stay motivated to keep trading because the market is constantly evolving. One has to be prepared to find opportunities and achieve positive results.

What is your personal goal in trading? Have you reached it, or are you still working towards it?

My goal is to sustain trading as my main source of income, with order and discipline throughout my life. I aim to pass this philosophy on to those learning about this fascinating commercial activity. Since I learn new things every day, I can say I'm still working on consolidating my goal.

What are your reasons for starting trading in the market?

Primarily, it's the flexibility. I can trade at any time of the day according to my trading plan. Additionally, trading is an activity that requires study, challenges strategies, and provides learning experiences daily.

You teach beginner traders. Have you ever discouraged someone from becoming a trader?

As an educator, my role is to explain the scope of trading in the markets, including the benefits and risks. This way, beginners can get a more detailed understanding of what it means to trade, win, and lose. Ultimately, each student, based on self-reflection, determines if they are suited to start their trading journey.

Who is not suitable for this activity?

I believe trading can be adapted to each individual’s earnings goals and risk tolerance. However, those who skip the necessary habits of studying, learning, and practicing tend to have negative experiences.

What questions should you ask yourself before becoming a trader?

"Am I doing this out of conviction or necessity?" If a beginner trades out of conviction, they are more likely to follow an orderly learning process with clear objectives. But if someone trades out of immediate monetary need, the risk increases because they may lack a trading plan and trade based solely on emotion.

3 Main Myths About Trading.

  1. You'll become a millionaire.
  2. You'll be a "wolf of Wall Street."
  3. Trading is like playing in a casino.

Your 3 basic rules in trading.

  1. Respect the trading plan.
  2. Calculate the risk per trade.
  3. Do not overtrade the account.

Do you watch films about trade and which one is the most truthful?

Yes, I watch them, and I believe each has a valuable message. However, I prefer reading books. One of my favorites is Living from Trading by Alexander Elder.

Why do you work at SpiceProp?

From my perspective, SpiceProp continually offers better trading conditions, embracing a win-win philosophy: if the trader wins, the company wins. Traders appreciate this approach, which is why the company continues to grow globally.
