Wilmer Tem: On the Straight Path to Trading Success with SpiceProp

In April 2025, Wilmer successfully completed the Mini Pepper challenge and officially joined the ranks of SpiceProp Traders. In this short interview, he shares his thoughts on the SpiceProp experience, the lessons he’s learned, and the mindset that helped him succeed.

Why do you like to trade with SpiceProp?

Because it’s reliable. SpiceProp gives me the confidence that I’m trading in a stable and professional environment.

What’s the most important thing that helped you pass the SpiceProp challenge?

Controlling my emotions. Staying calm in every situation made all the difference.

What was the key turning point in your trading journey?

Honestly, it was when I lost my personal trading account. That moment forced me to reflect, learn, and come back stronger with a better plan.

How long have you been trading?

I’ve been trading for about a year now. It’s been a steep learning curve, but every step has taught me something valuable.

What’s your current trading plan?

Keep it simple: don’t overtrade, and take everything step by step. Patience and consistency are essential.

What personal quality helped you most in the SpiceProp challenge? (Three words)

Expect zero emotions. That’s how I stay focused and avoid impulsive decisions.

In your opinion, what separates average traders from the best?

Risk management. It’s not about how often you win, but how well you manage losses and protect your capital.

What’s the best piece of advice that led to your success in the challenge?

Take it step by step. Slow progress is better than rushed failure.

Are there any books, online resources, or people that have influenced your trading development?

Yes — The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. That book helped me shape the right mindset for trading and beyond.

Do you believe we should learn more from ourselves or from others?

From ourselves. Self-reflection and learning from your own experiences are key to real progress.
